Privacy Policy

Overview

Kairos does not require an account. We do not operate an advertising network, use third-party advertising SDKs, sell personal information, or track users across apps and websites. The personal moments you create in Kairos are stored on your device and are not sent to us.

Data Stored on Your Device

Kairos stores the information needed to provide its features locally on your device. This may include:

• Moment titles, dates, colors, and other customization choices
• Photos you choose for moment backgrounds
• Reminder preferences and local notification schedules
• Widget information shared locally with the Kairos widget
• Onboarding, trial, and app preference information

This content is used only to provide the Application’s features. We do not receive or store this content on our servers. If you use an Apple backup or device-transfer feature, Apple may handle locally stored app data according to your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.

Device Permissions

Kairos requests access only when needed for a feature you choose to use:

• Photos and Camera: to select or capture an optional background image for a moment. Selected images are copied to the Application’s local storage.
• Notifications: to schedule reminders on your device. Kairos uses local notifications and does not use notification permission for advertising.

You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Lifetime Pro Purchases

Kairos uses Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to offer and validate the optional Lifetime Pro in-app purchase. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive or store your payment card or banking information.

RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous app user identifier, purchase history, transaction and receipt information, entitlement status, and limited technical information needed to validate purchases, prevent fraud, provide purchase analytics, and restore access. Kairos does not provide RevenueCat with your name or email address and does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Third-Party Services

The Application relies on the following services for purchase functionality:

• Apple App Store: payment processing, purchase records, refunds, and purchase restoration. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: purchase validation, entitlement management, restoration, and purchase analytics. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

These providers process information under their own privacy policies and may process it in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the Application.

Retention and Deletion

Moment data and preferences stored by Kairos remain on your device until you delete the relevant moment, clear the Application’s data, or uninstall the Application. Removing the Application generally removes its local data, subject to Apple backup and device-transfer settings.

Purchase records and anonymous purchase identifiers are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies and applicable legal obligations. We cannot delete records that Apple is legally required to maintain. If you contact us for support, we retain the correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing us.

Children

Kairos is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because moment content is stored locally and is not sent to us, we cannot view content entered into the Application. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can address it.

Security

Kairos limits data handling by keeping moment content on your device. You are responsible for securing your device and Apple Account. Information processed by Apple and RevenueCat is protected according to their security practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your Choices and Rights

You can edit or delete moments directly in Kairos, manage photos and notification permissions in iOS Settings, and uninstall the Application to remove its local data. Depending on your location, you may also have rights regarding information processed in connection with purchases or support, including access, correction, or deletion. Contact us to make a request. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Application or its data practices change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
